at1 CONTINUING EDUCATION PROGRAM

Goal: To implement a program where we at Greater Arlington Soccer Club, Inc. can make player development our main focus through age appropriate training and games, so they progress to the next level of the game.  The youth level is where we need to realize that the game they play is not the adult game.  Also implement a parent/player clinic which includes players and parent-coach eduction unit that focuses on age specific training.

Target: U-6 to U-10 Players, extending through the U-12 age group.

Requirements:

U-6/U-8 Module 6 Hours

U-10/U-12 Module

**U-12** Will take the F course after U-10/U-12 Module

U-14 and above will take the E, D, C or national youth license

F Certificate is 8 Hours

E Certificate is 18 Hours

D License is 36 Hours

Implementation: Immediately starting with the Fall 2008 season and beyond, before the start of every fall season, coaches will be required to get the appropriate age group certification.

Process: The continuing education program will be a process.  This will not be nor should be viewed as a one year fix but an ongoing process to allow for our players to develop properly as well as our coaches, to provide a proper training enviornment
