GASC Premier Press Release 3- FEB

TOPSoccer is off to a great start here at our club. This is a program for special needs & disabled children who want to play soccer, just in a different way. Headed up by Ronda & Jack Sisk and MaryAnn & Tom Devenny, this program has a group of dedicated volunteer buddies and an enthusiastic group of players and thankful parents.

The program runs from 3-5p on Sundays Jan 24-Feb 28. Each week our trainers and buddies are focused on helping these players learn new skills and get them running and exercising. For some, this is the first time they’ve ever run around or kicked a soccer ball. At the end of each session everyone is rewarded with ice cream donated by Bruster’s Real Ice Cream. 

We welcome you to come out and see what a good job our players are doing and how much fun they are having. This has been one of the most rewarding experiences I’ve been involved with and can’t wait for Sundays.

Coaches have had their meetings and the teams have been made. Some coaches have already started practicing. The 2010 spring season kicks off on Saturday, March 6. If you have not been contacted by a coach, please contact your age group director (check website) for more information. Don’t forget about free fingerprinting on opening day too. GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!

CONGRATULATIONS to our U12 Premier Girls team and U14 Premier Boys team for making it thru the knock-out rounds of Region B Cup last weekend. Along with our U17 Premier Boys team, the U12 girls will compete in the challenge round Feb 26-27 in Merritt Island while our U12 boys will compete in Palm Bay the same weekend. GOOD LUCK!
